Responsibilities
Provide emotional and practical support to children and young people in a residential setting.
Implement and monitor individualized care plans tailored to each child’s needs.
Promote positive behavior management strategies and encourage the development of social skills.
Ensure all health and safety regulations are upheld within the residential environment.
Facilitate educational and recreational activities that engage and inspire children.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, psychologists, and educators.
Document and report on progress and incidents, maintaining accurate records in compliance with regulations.
Requirements
A relevant qualification in childcare, social work, or health care (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
Previous experience working in a residential child care or similar environment.
Strong understanding of child development and welfare issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with children and their families.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative.
Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures related to children and vulnerable individuals.
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £14.13
