Christ’s Hospital is looking for versatile graduate assistants to support our teaching staff, academic staff and pupils. The successful candidate will participate in all aspects of school life including taking part in some teaching, some broader curriculum support and pastoral care within a boarding house. While there is no specific subject specialism required, as the role is generalist in nature, we are keen to hear from applicants who are able, through qualification or experience, to support a variety of areas of our academic and/or broader curriculum offering.
Whilst this is a temporary position for up to two academic years, starting end of August 2025, successful applicants have gone on to take on further teaching roles in the School.
A positive approach to learning, a caring and enthusiastic attitude and the ability to work in a team and a willingness to participate fully in the broader life of this busy boarding community is essential. The successful candidate will be required to undertake at least one evening duty in a boarding house each week. This is an ideal post for an outstanding individual considering teaching as a profession in future. All meals during term-time when on duty are provided as part of the package and there is accommodation on site available. The salary will be paid across the whole contract.
