As a Guidewire Solution Engineer within the NFU Mutual Guidewire Centre of Excellence, you’ll play a critical role in the design and delivery of robust, scalable solutions across Guidewire’s digital and core platforms. Working closely with System Architects and Engineering teams, you’ll help shape roadmaps, influence architectural decisions, and ensure high-quality, maintainable builds that align with our strategic goals. While your core focus will be hands-on technical leadership, you’ll also contribute to solution design and get involved in complex change reviews to guarantee alignment from design to delivery. In addition, you’ll coach and mentor more junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth by helping to build capability and succession within the team. This role spans our key Guidewire towers – Digital (CustomerEngage/VendorEngage), Core (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimsCenter), and Data – so you'll need solid experience with integrations, APIs, and a strong understanding of both front-end and back-end platforms. This role offers hybrid working and office-based working from our Tiddington Head Office, just outside Stratford-Upon-Avon. Essential skills and experience include: Considerable experience of architecture, design and delivery of secure and scalable end-to-end solutions across relevant sub-sets of Guidewire applications and integration points with a focus on optimisation and utilisation. Strong track record of driving conformant Guidewire innovation and aligning solutions with organisational goals. Strong experience of leading technical Guidewire upgrades and/or transformative functional improvements in an Agile delivery environment. Extensive knowledge of the latest Guidewire out-of-the-box application architecture, roadmap and application delivery techniques. Understanding and experience in business analysis techniques and processes. Experience in Guidewire Cloud and SaaS-based components is highly desirable.
