We are working with a global financial and professional service company who are looking for experienced legal associates to join the legal team based in their Belfast office. The role involves working closely with London and other regional offices to assist and support lawyers in delivering legal services across their client network. As legal associates, you must have a keen ability to learn in a fast-moving, innovative and technology-enabled environment and a desire to be part of the movement to modernise the in-house delivery of legal services and advance the New Law Services practice.

What you will do?
1. Supporting Lawyers in their day-to-day duties
2. Undertaking administrative tasks
3. Engaging with technology to ensure successful project outcomes
4. Support Client onboarding processes
5. Gathering/collation of financial information
6. Performing compliance checks on client documentation
7. Document collation, evidencing paper trail of transactions
8. Research - collating and preparing reports
9. Data input of key information into spreadsheets and or proprietary systems
10. Contract and documentation review - identify key facts, anomalies, and escalate issues to seniors.
What will make you stand out?
This role will ideally suit a legal professional, paralegal or legal graduate who can demonstrate experience from either commercial firms within a relevant practice area or those who have worked in a managed legal services environment before. Experience working in one of the above capacities is necessary.
Any additional experience across banking, financial services, derivatives and collateral documentation management or AML/conflict checking/document review and contract data management tasks, will be advantageous.
