We aredelighted to share that we are recruiting for anaspiring Assistant Print/shape Designer to join our Essentialsteam on a 6-12 month Parental Leave Cover Contract for approx 6-12 months (Part-Time). The Essentials team covers nightwear and underwear so a candidate with a commercial clothing print background is preferrable. We're looking for someone who is driven and passionate about print & design. The role will need you to be proactive and forthcoming with spotting the latest design and print trends. You'll demonstrate the ability to create your own original prints with a focus on an illustrated hand, designing our nightwear, underwear and loungewear print designs across ladies/mens and kids. A big part of this role will involve print design with greater focus on easy commercial AOPs and placement designs. You should be inquisitive and challenging with a proactive approach to projects. You will be responsible for Creating dynamic commercial artworks which can be used across our nightwear and underwear products. Providing design, product development and sampling support to keep the team running efficiently. Conduct customer and competitor research to influence designs, build reports to share with the design team in meetings. You'll also contribute to the department's design direction, being proactive in identifying core lines, key statements and colours to drive sales. Understanding best and worst lines to influence seasonal strategy and innovative product opportunities. Supporting your Design manager in designing creative, trend-led collections. Supporting the delivery of 'must haves' and seasonal/trend products for our customer. Assisting your manager by designing the accurate number of options to meet the needs of the department. You'll also compile brief packs to achieve 'right first time' quality buying samples. Playing your role in delivering the design component of the design critical path You will need You willneed experience of Photoshop/ Illustrator/ ProCreate as well, as hand illustration experience as well as experience with MS office tools. You'll also be involved in the range planning process and product development.
