What you’ll be doing
You’ll be at the forefront of ensuring that our UK and Northern Area (UKNA) operations comply with CWGC global standards. You’ll take the lead in developing and implementing Health & Safety action plans, conducting risk assessments, and delivering essential training to our teams. Your role involves not only managing incident reporting and investigations but also ensuring that our workplaces are safe and compliant with Health & Safety legislation. You'll play a crucial part in maintaining accurate Health & Safety reports and advising on corrective actions to mitigate risks.
In this role, you'll coordinate and oversee all Health & Safety activities within the UKNA, working closely with stakeholders to ensure compliance with statutory and global standards. You'll be responsible for managing emergency plans, maintaining Risk and Non-conformity Registers, and facilitating Health & Safety Committee meetings. Additionally, you'll engage with external Health & Safety professionals, represent UKNA at global meetings, and support on facilities management contracts to ensure the highest standards of safety across our operations.
What you need to have
* NEBOSH National or International General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent qualification
* Solid understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation
* Experience in accident investigations, risk assessments, audits, and report writing
* Excellent communication, with the ability to build strong working relationships
* Organised, proactive, resilient, and adaptable
