We are seeking a Sales Manager to join a fast-expanding distribution company based in Ramsbottom. This business has achieved 40% growth over the past year and an average annual growth of 20% over the last five years. Now, the company aims to expand its vibrant team alongside its customer base.
In this role, you will lead the account management team and drive client base development. Your success will hinge on your skills in managing, guiding, and expanding a team of account managers.
Sales Manager: Key Responsibilities
1. Lead, mentor, and oversee a team of account managers
2. Set strategic sales targets and steer team sales performance
3. Manage key accounts and high-value customers
4. Train the team in sales techniques such as up-selling and cross-selling across the product portfolio
5. Recruit and nurture talent within the account management team
6. Ensure excellent customer service standards
Qualifications
1. Management and sales experience
2. Strong leadership skills
3. Excellent communication and team management abilities
4. Retail management background preferred
5. Proficiency in merchandising strategies
6. Multilingual or bilingual skills a plus
7. Demonstrated ability in time management and organisational skills
8. Administrative experience and phone etiquette essential
