Principal Responsibilities
* Defining, delivering, and supporting strategic outcomes for services and applications provided by the DDI team.
* Ensuring all aspects of the environment are maintained efficiently with minimal disruption to the customer base.
* Working effectively as part of the global team to drive infrastructure deliverables and operational support requirements.
* Ensuring that standard ITIL processes are followed correctly and appropriately, e.g. problem management, incident management, release management, change management and configuration management. Implement ITIL best practice where applicable.
* Applying a strong and disciplined approach to agile principles for day-to-day visibility and delivery of workload
* Identifying, monitoring, driving, and tracking service improvements leading and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
* Participate in an on-call rotation for support of systems outside of normal business hours (following initial training / settling in period). Provide 2nd/3rd line DDI support for incidents to lead problem resolution and coordination activities
* The role does not have direct line management responsibility but may be required to deputise on occasion
Applications will be required to have:
* A Good Understanding of Network hardware and Software, and general IT Support principles and strong experience working in an IT infrastructure role including IT hardware, software, operations, and networks
* Deep expertise in managing & maintaining enterprise-scale DDI (DNS, DHCP and IP Address Management) solutions.
* A track record of being a good team player with an honest and open communication style, being reliable and striving to deliver an excellent service to the customer
* Ability to actively lead Crisis response and recovery whilst working under pressure and deliver within limited timescales
* Ability to manage and prioritise service delivery within a diverse and constantly changing technical environment.
* Good understanding of Software Development and Deployment Lifecycles and ability to interpret complex business and IT requirements
* An ability to lead and manage large projects with a solid understanding of project management principles.
* A strong desire to learn new skills, take on new challenges and work closely with colleagues to drive positive outcomes and ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
Additionally, the following would be advantageous:
* Practical experience with one or more of the following: DDI (DNS, DHCP and IP Address Management), QIP, Infoblox, efficientIP, Cygna AMS/AMM, F5 GTM / Big-IP DNS, SQL, Unix
* Proficient in setting up and manage the modern configuration management, infrastructure as code tools, CI/CD tools (e.g. Ansible, Jenkins, Git, GitHub)
* Proficient in scripting and or coding skills in common languages (e.g. Perl, Python, shell scripting, SQL, Yaml, Javascript)
