Band 7 Locum General and Gynae Sonographer • Position: Sonographer • Shift: 0800-1600 Saturdays and Sundays • Location: Hampshire • Start: ASAP (with a weekday induction) • Rate: £50.00 - £55.00 per hour We are seeking a highly skilled Band 7 Locum General and Gynae Sonographer to join our team in Hampshire. This ongoing position offers a pay rate of £50-£55 per hour, with additional weekend uplifts. The role requires working on Saturdays and Sundays from 08:00 am to 04:00 pm, with an initial weekday induction. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced sonographer to contribute to a dynamic healthcare setting during the weekends. Responsibilities: As a Band 7 Locum General and Gynae Sonographer, you will perform a variety of general and gynecological ultrasound scans, ensuring high-quality imaging to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. You will operate advanced ultrasound equipment, maintain detailed and accurate records, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient service delivery. Additionally, you will adhere to safety protocols and contribute to the ongoing improvement of imaging services within the department. Qualifications and Experience: Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification with a postgraduate diploma in Medical Ultrasound. Current registration with the HCPC. Extensive experience in performing general and gynecological ultrasound scans, preferably at Band 7 level. Proficiency in using advanced ultrasound technology. Strong knowledge of ultrasound safety standards and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
