Base pay range
Alexander Steele Recruitment have, exclusively, partnered with a well-known Confectionary manufacturer in Warwickshire who are currently looking to recruit a new General Operation Manager. The company has earned a loyal customer base and a strong presence in the food service and wholesale category.
On Offer:
* Salary of £80,000 – 100,000 doe
* Share options after 12 months of employment.
* 33 days holiday
The General Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the manufacturing and commercial operations, ensuring the highest standards of product quality, customer service, health and safety and business performance against budget. This role requires a hands-on leader with a passion for food, excellent organisational skills, and a proven track record in managing a successful food manufacturing business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership and Team Management: Inspire, lead, and develop a team of 35 production, packing and hygiene staff. Foster a positive and productive work environment.
* Operations Management: Oversee daily operations including production schedules, inventory management and quality control.
* Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, ESG and company policies.
* Customer Focus: Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction. Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
* Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-control measures. Analyse sales data and adjust strategies to achieve financial targets.
Required Experience:
* Proven experience as a General or Operations Manager or similar role in a food production environment.
* Proven commercial experience with customers ideally within the wholesale and foodservice channels.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
* Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of food safety and health and safety regulations.
