As a Field Engineering Supervisor, you will be managing a team of Field Engineers and coordinating field engineering project delivery activities relating to installation, commissioning, and preventative maintenance of equipment on clients' sites. We are open to this role being based either from our head office in Monmouth or remotely, but with visits to the head office as required.
We are seeking candidates who are passionate about making a difference in the water-environmental sector, with a practical and positive outlook. While prior experience in the service industry, especially in water and environmental-related aspects, would be ideal, what matters most is your enthusiasm to contribute to a cleaner, greener world.
Main Responsibilities
* Managing the Field Services Team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring the planning, coordination, and execution of field engineering tasks and ensuring timely completion.
* Act as the primary point of contact between field engineers, customers, and internal departments.
* Liaise with clients in confirming engineering resource requirements and ensuring site attendance forms and any corrective actions are followed up.
* Ensure all the Field Service Team are familiar with and follow company safety systems and codes of practice and are competent to perform their job role and tasks.
* Ensure all work carried out in the field is in accordance with required work instructions, procedures, and RAMS.
* Liaison with clients and contractors in undertaking works on third-party sites.
Qualifications & Experience
* NVQ level 3 in mechanical or electrical engineering; degree qualified in engineering preferred.
* NEBOSH General Certificate/IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
* Experience in managing a team, including developing, mentoring, and coaching.
* Familiarity with installations, commissioning, fault diagnosis, and repair techniques.
* Some experience of water treatment techniques would be desirable; however, in-house training will be provided.
* Organizational skills and ability to prioritize work.
* Strong initiative with effective problem-solving.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly convey critical information.
* Full driving license.
