About the role
You will collaborate closely with frontline social care professionals and management teams to analyse, investigate, and resolve complex financial matters related to individuals' care charges, ensuring full compliance with current governmental regulations and policies. Your expertise will be essential in interpreting financial data and navigating the intricate legal frameworks surrounding social care funding.
You will play a critical role in preventive financial operations, ensuring that income generation processes are optimised and robust. Additionally, you will be tasked with monitoring and addressing complex issues within financial assessments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established protocols.
This position requires providing comprehensive financial, systems, and care practice advice to a diverse range of stakeholders, including independent care providers, external care management service providers, finance departments, strategic commissioning teams, and social care managers within Health and Community Services.
You will act as a subject matter expert in care-related financial issues, offering guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality care services while maintaining financial accountability. You will address and resolve financial queries and complaints related to care standards, which may arise from individuals, their families, or external partners. Given the frequent contact with individuals, family carers, Care Providers, NHS representatives, and other partnership agencies, your ability to manage sensitive issues with professionalism and empathy is critical.
The role also involves regular travel within the county and to various hospital sites, so the ability to drive is essential.
