This highly successful and expanding events agency works with some of the world's most renowned brands and has made significant strides over recent years. The agency offers both venue sourcing and event management services for clients, delivering a wide spectrum of events from roadshows to conferences and awards evenings. The agency mainly delivers these services in the UK alongside a few international projects, with the events ranging in scale depending on client needs. Due to ongoing growth, the business is now on the lookout for a part-time Business Development Manager, offering 16 hours across the week - allowing plenty of flexibility for your own needs. There is potential, as this role develops, for discussions around more hours becoming available.
The Role
As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for generating new business and developing strong long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders. This role offers a balance between winning cold business and account managing and nurturing existing relationships.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
* Develop and maintain key relationships with the agency's existing clients.
* Actively seek new business opportunities through proactive engagement of potential clients.
* Lead calls and in-person meetings with prospective clients.
* Secure new business for the agency through pitch and brief responses.
* Host meetings and reviews with key clients to maximize future opportunity.
* Be a vital internal stakeholder in supporting with swift response to client briefs.
* Work closely with other internal teams to boost efficiency.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in a business development or sales-related role, ideally within an events agency, and will have a real eagerness to work in a proactive new business environment. We are open to speaking with candidates with experience in sales-related roles from other areas of the event industry, providing you have a passion for developing relationships and a clear desire to succeed. In return, this role will offer fantastic flexibility, with the agency being open to how you work the 16-hour week around your diary.
