About the role:
We have new opportunity as a Compensation and Benefits Specialist to join our busy Pensions and Payroll team as part of the HR Operations service!
The University has an on-going HR strategy to continuously review and improve the Total Reward package that currently includes a range of financial and non-financial benefits as well as a mix of defined and contribution benefits pension schemes.
In this role, you will:
* Be a key contributor to the University total reward strategy.
* Work closely with the Pensions and Payroll Manager to support and develop a competitive, well-designed compensation & benefit offering to motivate, attract and retain high performing resources.
* Be alert and responsive in recognising fresh enhancements for compensation, pension options and employee wellbeing and integral to subsequent design and promotion.
* Use your knowledge of pension regulations to manage the operational transactions in accordance with statutory obligations.
* Provide comprehensive advice to members and other stakeholders.
* Design and communicate policy and tools to underpin employee financial confidence and understanding.
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who has:
* Knowledge of defined benefits and defined contribution pension schemes.
* Experience in delivering high quality pension administration.
* A good understanding of pension regulations.
* Competent reconciliation and reporting skills.
* Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
* Demonstrable commitment to providing first-rate customer service.
* The ability to work accurately and flexibly in a busy and constantly changing environment, both independently and as part of a team.
