Salary: BS14 Fixed (currently £24,358 per annum)
Pembrokeshire College is currently looking for a Site Services Technician to join a busy team based in the Estates Department. As a Site Services Technician, you will provide a quality support service for the College by undertaking a wide range of duties connected with maintenance, security, and operation of the College's main campus and satellite buildings.
Contract Type: Salaried - Permanent
Hours of work: Full-time (37 hours per week - equivalent to 5 working days per week). The hours will require flexibility over a 7-day rolling shift rota, between 5:45am and 11:30pm. The current schedule consists of 2 weeks of morning shifts, 3 weeks of mid shifts, and 1 week of late shifts.
Holiday Entitlement: 28 days Annual Leave plus 8 Bank Holidays per annum. Annual leave entitlement will increase to 32 days pro rata (based on full-time equivalent) following 5 years+ service.
Qualifications:
* You are required to hold the required valid basic First Aid certificate and SIA Front Licence.
* If not currently held, the College will support you to undertake and achieve these within an agreed timescale.
* It is desirable to hold a relevant Level 3 qualification.
Experience:
* You will have experience of working in a security or maintenance role.
* Good IT skills and knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of software would be advantageous.
You must have excellent communication skills, a friendly approach, and be confident to positively challenge poor behaviour. You must be flexible, as you will be required to work during term-time and non-term-time periods in order to meet the needs of the College, including commercial events, pantomime events, leisure facilities, and breakfast clubs. The rota is agreed at the start of each academic term and may be subject to change on occasions.
