About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Carers to provide essential support and assistance to vulnerable individuals in need. As a Carer, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those under your care, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being in their own home environment. This position requires a nurturing attitude and the ability to adapt to various care needs, including those related to dementia, physical disability and end of life care.
* Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
* Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
* Assist with mobility and physical activities to promote independence.
* Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
* Implement behaviour management strategies as needed for clients with specific challenges.
* Prepare meals and assist with dietary needs while ensuring proper nutrition.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks.
* Document daily activities and any changes in the client’s condition accurately.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a related field is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
* Knowledge of dementia care practices is advantageous.
* Experience in assisted living or home care settings is desirable.
