Are you passionate about creating a safe and secure environment? Securitas is looking for a dedicated Security Officer to protect people and property in Milton Keynes!
As a vital member of our security team, you'll be on the frontline, closely monitoring activities and reporting any incidents. With a strong focus on continuous training and service improvement, you'll play an essential role in maintaining a secure and safe environment.
Position Details:
* Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off nights (20:00-08:00)
* Weekly Hours: average of 42h per week.
* Qualifications: SIA license required.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
* Patrols: Conduct regular patrols of the facility to monitor for suspicious activity, ensure safety, and maintain order.
* Reception Duties: Manage the reception area, welcoming visitors and ensuring they are signed in and provided with necessary information.
* Meet and Greet: Greet employees and visitors with a professional demeanor, providing assistance as needed and ensuring a positive first impression.
* Staff Queries: Address and resolve staff inquiries related to security policies, procedures, and general information, ensuring effective communication.
* Incident Reporting: Document and report any incidents, safety hazards, or breaches of security, maintaining accurate records for follow-up.
* Emergency Response: Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, coordinating with emergency services as necessary.
* Surveillance Monitoring: Utilize security systems and cameras to monitor the premises, ensuring a proactive approach to security.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, visitors, and emergency services.
* Computer Skills: Proficient in using computer systems for reporting, monitoring, and accessing security software.
* Customer Service Orientation: Strong focus on providing excellent service and maintaining a welcoming environment.
* Attention to Detail: Ability to observe and report details accurately and effectively.
* Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to assess situations and respond appropriately.
Essential Skills
* Must have a valid SIA Licence.
* Must have the right to work in the UK.
* Have a five-year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment, or full and part-time education during that period.
* Must be within a reasonable commuting distance.
