Townsend Vets in the West Midlands are looking for a small animal vet to join our compassionate, dedicated team!
We are a practice with deep roots in the local community, lovely clients, and a belief in giving our best to our patients and each other. We believe in developing through our team members, with recent purchases of laparoscopic kit with multi-parameter monitoring and electrocautery, as well as digital x-ray, video-endoscope, ultrasound, digital dental X-ray, slit lamp, indirect ophthalmoscope, electrolysis, surgical loupe and tonometry.
We currently have vets with extra qualifications in Behaviour and certificate-holders in Ophthalmology and Sugery. We also retain a visiting certificate-holding surgeon willing to teach or mentor in various soft tissue, orthopaedic or endosurgical techniques. We have a kind and highly experienced team of nurses and receptionists, and dedicated cat ward and cat and rabbit waiting areas.
This is a 1-year Fixed Term Contract for Full time, 38 hours a week with the choice to spread this over 4 or 5 days. Flexible working options are available to fit with childcare or specific needs. 1:3 Saturdays (Alternating 9-5 and 9-1) with full day or half day off in lieu respectively the following week. Opening hours are 8am - 7pm monday to friday and 8.30am - 5pm saturday. No OOH work. Standard 5 weeks annual leave with the ability to negotiate up to 7 weeks.
