Cloud Engineer - (Azure certified) - Oil & Gas - London Hybrid 3 days in office pw Day rate: £550 - £650 (inside IR35) Duration: 6 months Start: ASAP My client is looking for a highly skilled Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure to advise clients and design detailed cloud infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in Azure infrastructure, DevOps pipelines, security, disaster recovery, and scaling cloud resources. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert consultation to clients on Azure infrastructure, DevOps pipelines, and cloud security best practices. Design and implement scalable Azure solutions, including Key Vault, App Service, Virtual Machines, and File Storage. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or Jenkins. Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible for provisioning resources and enabling 100% IaaS solutions. Ensure high availability, load balancing, and clustering of applications. Assist in debugging application build, deployment, and connectivity issues. Develop and maintain Azure governance policies, including landing zone setup and compliance best practices. Manage Azure Active Directory, DNS, and networking configurations. Collaborate with development teams to optimise application performance and security. Required Skills & Experience: Strong experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Virtual Machines, File Storage, Data Factory, SQL Server, DNS, CI/CD Pipeline, Azure Active Directory. Expertise in Azure Compute (VMs, Cloud Services) and Azure App Services. Hands-on experience with Azure Storage solutions (Blob, Table). Proficiency in DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins. Strong knowledge of Terraform and Ansible for automation and infrastructure provisioning. Experience in designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with GitHub for version control. Understanding of application clustering, load balancing, and high-availability concepts. Knowledge of Azure policy and governance best practices. Preferred Qualifications: Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-400, or AZ-305. Experience with multi-cloud environments. Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
