Responsibilities: Responsible for product quality for the Waco, TX paper manufacturing facility. Research and respond to customer claims on time to prevent aged claims. Participate in customer visits as needed. Create and manage trial planning within the facility and maintain records within the trial log. Regularly review and maintain the FDA-approved chemical list and update the document control system. Attend and participate in department meetings. Manage job assignments and training plans. Participate in lab activities and reporting. Have frequent interaction with the Company Sales and Corporate Customer Technical Services. Manage Technical Lab activities. Qualifications/Role Expectations: 5-7 years quality manufacturing experience including 3 years of leadership exp. • Four-year technical degree. Paper/Packaging industry experience a must. Experience within a test lab environment. A Safety-First mindset to promote and support a safe workplace. • To travel as needed to customers. Microsoft Office proficiency. To participate in On-call/weekend duty rotation. Knowledge of printing press runnability. Familiarity with SAP. Excellent organizational skills. A demonstrated ability to lead people and obtain results by developing your team. The ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost control and employee relations. To have quality orientation and excellent attention to detail.
