Apprenticeship Tutor – Fire & Security An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Fire and Security engineers looking to take the next step in their careers by transitioning into a rewarding role as an Apprenticeship Tutor. This position offers the chance to share industry expertise with the next generation of engineers. Key Responsibilities: Deliver sector-specific knowledge, skills, and behaviours to aspiring engineers and career changers. Create an engaging and supportive learning environment while ensuring compliance with ESFA and Ofsted guidelines. Support learners beyond technical education, helping to prepare them for modern working life. Essential Skills & Experience: Strong hands-on experience in Fire & Security Installation, Commissioning, and Maintenance. Excellent practical skills with the ability to teach and demonstrate core engineering principles. Minimum of three years’ experience working in the field. Flexibility to travel and stay overnight on occasion (fully funded). Desirable Skills & Qualifications: Industry-recognised certifications (e.g., FIA, FireQual, Milestone Advanced). Experience mentoring, supervising, or training apprentices. Strong communication and presentation skills. A willingness to work toward a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., Level 3 Award in Education or higher). Any previous Trainer/Tutor/Instructor/Assessor/Lecturer experience. Experienced apprenticeship tutors with demonstrable Fire and Security sector expertise are also encouraged to apply.
