The Clinical Trials department is seeking to appoint a Research Nurse to support the development and successful delivery of clinical trials at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust.
The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is committed to the development of dynamic partnerships with Life Sciences Industry and the continuing expansion of the commercial research portfolio in order to maximise patient access to innovative treatments.
You will support Nursing/AHP/Midwifery led research across the Trust, in line with the NIHR portfolio requirements, improving patient outcomes at the bedside, and raising the research profile for the non-medical research agenda.
You will be responsible for assessing and managing the care of patients and carers participating in clinical trials. This includes:
* Close working practices with the Lead Research Nurse, R&D Staff, and clinicians in research active directorates to ensure efficient delivery of high quality research.
* Managing your own workload autonomously to meet recruitment targets.
* Acting as a research nurse for designated studies within the Trust's portfolio.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) provides a full range of general acute, outpatient, and diagnostic services at The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, the Herts and Essex Hospital in Bishop’s Stortford, and St Margaret’s Hospital in Epping.
We employ 3,500 staff and serve a local population of around 350,000 people living in west Essex and east Hertfordshire, centred on the M11 corridor and the towns of Harlow, Bishop’s Stortford, and Epping.
