A new opportunity has arisen for a motivated, innovative dietitian with excellent communication, organisation and team working skills to join our team.
We welcome existing Dietitians as well as newly qualified and student Dietitian’s awaiting HCPC registration to apply for this post who are keen to develop skills and experience across a wide range of clinical areas in both inpatients and outpatients. You will be an integral part of the dietetic and multi-professional teams at UHDB providing a service to inpatients and outpatients by undertaking comprehensive clinical, educational and administrative duties and responsibilities.
You will be part of the acute dietetic team based at Queens Hospital Burton however we also cover the community hospitals in Lichfield and Tamworth and there may be the opportunity for cross site working at Royal Derby Hospital. Our team at Queens Hospital consists of 13 Dietitians, 2 Dietetic Assistant Practitioners and a Secretary.
You will be provided with regular supervision and CPD opportunities during your contract. The department is committed to student training and is approved for A, B and C placements therefore you will be involved in student training.
The Dietetic Team use electronic patient records, works closely with several Multi-disciplinary Teams and has excellent management support.
You will be responsible for providing part of the Dietetic Service to a range of Inpatient wards. You will also cover a regular Outpatient Clinic and provide education to a range of healthcare staff within the Trust.
To be responsible for own caseload, whilst working under the indirect supervision of a senior dietitian.
CPD takes the form of regular formal training, peer review, case conferences, clinical reasoning, audit, use of evidence based practice and research.
As an autonomous practitioner, the dietitian provides education, clinical support and advice to all members of the multi-professional team.
