The salary for this role is £37,509. Onsite working is expected for 3 days a week, however, we actively support requests for flexible working. Occasional travelling to FTF Yorkshire may be required.
Job Description
This role can be based at any of the following sites: Culham, Oxfordshire.
This role requires employees to be eligible for SC Clearance (must have resided in the UK for the last 5 years), including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions.
The Role
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference? Join our team and contribute to the future of fusion energy. As a Resilience Adviser, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Business Resilience Manager to ensure that a number of key activities relating to the UKAEA Divisions and Business Units operational resilience are carried out in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. You may be leading and managing smaller projects, discrete programmes such as drills and exercises or co-ordination and management of a particular area such as physical security assessments, ensuring that projects and activities are delivered to budget, schedule and required standards. You will also be providing technical knowledge to advise and support UKAEA on all matters relating to Business Resilience (Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Emergency Planning and Security Risk Management). No day is the same! You will work with colleagues and stakeholders of every discipline and status, from delivering toolbox talks to developing policy.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Supporting the compliance and delivery of the HMG functional security standard 007 and the HM Government minimum standards for security and other related industry requirements on UKAEA research programmes, including projects within UKAEA ensuring that documentation, processes and procedures and arrangements reflect those requirements.
* Managing and maintaining databases, action tracking and chasing business resilience deliverables.
* Inputting to and supporting risk registers, liaising with risk owners as appropriate to capture business resilience risks.
* Carrying out small projects and other work as delegated by the Business Resilience Manager requiring the post holder to organise their workload, prioritise appropriately and work by own's effort.
Please note: There is the potential for short notice working outside of normal business hours and there is an expectation of travel to the UKAEA FTF Yorkshire site, to various civil nuclear sites across the UK and travel into London.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
* Equivalent experience of business resilience skills (business continuity, emergency preparedness and security) or experience in law enforcement or the Armed Forces.
* To hold or be able to achieve an SC security clearance. An offer for this role is conditional on achieving an SC clearance.
* Must have an acute attention to detail and be accurate when producing reports.
Beneficial Requirements:
* Experience of the civil nuclear industry and or critical national infrastructure.
* Experience in physical and personnel security.
