Job Purpose:
As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring production equipment runs efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime, and supporting manufacturing processes. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you'll be part of a proactive team committed to continuous improvement and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on machinery.
2. Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
3. Perform PPM activities and monitor equipment performance to prevent failures.
4. Enhance equipment reliability through proactive measures.
5. Assist with installing and commissioning new machinery, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
6. Identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and safety.
7. Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
8. Document maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment history.
9. Provide technical support to production teams to minimize downtime.
10. Train production staff on proper equipment use and basic maintenance.
11. Maintain accurate documentation of spare parts usage to manage inventory effectively.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Apprentice-trained or time-served engineer (mechanical or electrical bias).
2. Proficient in mechanical, electrical, PLC control, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
3. Competence in electrical system installations and repairs.
4. Strong ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
5. Experience with CMMS systems (e.g., Mango, PPM audits).
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
