THE COMPANY
A long established, forward thinking, added-value, premium UK-owned, high-integrity food business with a focus on supplying both branded and bespoke food solutions into UK & International trade channels. The business is privately owned, with third generation management and boasts a dynamic strategy for growth supported with substantial manufacturing, marketing and product innovation investment.
As part of their drive for growth and internal development, they are looking to appoint an experienced National Account Manager who will report to the Head of Bakery channel.
THE ROLE
This role will take full P&L responsibility for managing a portfolio of B2B bakery distributors and manufacturers selling an extensive branded range of high-quality products and/or bespoke food solutions tailored to meet specific manufacturing and major retailer customer needs. The role will manage a portfolio of high-profile accounts plus some focus on winning targeted new business.
Key customer contacts will include procurement, NPD and technical to ensure that their major retailer customer baking needs and requirements are fully understood and met through delivering exceptional service standards.
The role is field / home-based with some attendance required at both head office and the Midlands-based regional office.
ABOUT YOU
This role specifically requires B2B account management (NAM/BDM or NAE level) experience with food or drink manufacturers or distributors, selling either branded or solution-based ingredients used in food or drink product production. You have strongly developed your knowledge and experience selling ingredients, which you can naturally demonstrate, together with your profitable sales growth achievements at interview.
Additionally, you have a highly personable style with the energy, enthusiasm and determination to succeed. You can also work as part of a very close-knit team who are highly collaborative and supportive in all that they do to achieve profitable business growth.
