Travel Sales Executive
Location: Swansea
Salary: £21000-£23500 Basic Plus commission and bonus
OTE: £30000
The Company
This Swansea based organisation is a family-run, award-winning tour operator. Having grown steadily since 2001, they are now looking for 2 sales executives to join their family-oriented, supportive team. This organisation tailors holidays, providing personalised luxury to a wide variety of locations across the world.
The Role
You will be responsible for developing and managing sales leads received via phone and email, supporting the sales manager and company directors with all initiatives. You will be required to achieve individual sales targets on a monthly and annual basis. You can work 4 or 5 days per week (30 or 37.5 hours) to suit. You will cover between 08:30 AM to 06:30 PM on a rota basis, and some weekend work will also be required.
Duties will include:
1. Manage your daily workload and sales leads to ensure you achieve monthly targets.
2. Ensure that you are fully trained and competent in all business systems used and processes adopted on a day-to-day basis.
3. Support the overall sales strategy and ensure the tone and written communication are consistent with the sales strategy and brand guidelines across all channels.
4. Ensure that all quotes are accurate and completed on a timely basis and in line with our current sales policy.
5. Keep up to date with industry issues and travel regulations to provide relevant advice and guidance to all existing and potential customers.
6. Adopt best working practices and undertake all relevant training on a timely basis.
7. Stay informed about all advertised products and live deals to handle any inquiries as they arise.
8. Add value to all customers at every point of contact, meeting and exceeding their expectations.
9. Provide relevant and effective travel advice to customers using your knowledge and experience.
10. Offer effective commercial support to the business and ensure we capture as much data as possible while providing quotes and advice.
11. Keep up to date with learning and development, ensuring current legislation, codes of practice, and guidance are followed.
12. Participate in staff meetings as required.
13. Be responsible for your own health and safety and the health and safety of others working around you.
14. Follow the company's policies and processes regarding GDPR, equal opportunities, and discrimination.
15. Undertake any other reasonable sales duties deemed appropriate by your manager, which may include attending sales events or going on organised fam trips.
Requirements
The successful applicant will have the following skills, experience, and qualities:
1. Solid sales experience (essential).
2. Experience within the travel industry or extensive international travel (essential).
3. Target-driven.
4. Motivated.
5. Excellent communication skills.
6. Customer-focused.
7. Passion for the travel industry (essential).
