Salary: Circa £40-50K DOE, plus uncapped bonus and car allowance
Experienced Business Development Manager / Technical Sales Executive Needed in Hazardous Waste Industry
Location: Territory from the South Midlands to North of M25
Role Overview:
As a Business Development Manager / Technical Sales Executive, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Securing profitable hazardous waste management contracts and large one-off jobs in the designated area.
2. Managing tankered services, drummed and palletised waste, and coordinating with the technical team to ensure proper material handling.
3. Engaging in cold calling, lead generation, and follow-ups on inquiries.
4. Maintaining a robust sales pipeline.
5. Delivering presentations, consultations, and solution-based pitches when required.
Experience Required:
Proven track record in generating £600K+ annual revenue in a similar new business role within the waste management or brokered waste services industry.
Solid technical understanding with the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and comprehend hazardous waste pre-acceptance requirements.
Willingness to travel regionally and spend two days per week at the depot. A UK driving license is essential.
Chemistry-based qualifications are a plus, but strong sales skills are the primary focus.
