Job title: Senior Lecturer in Medicine Manufacturing
Salary: £38,000- £42,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract: 12 Month Fixed Term, Full time/part time considered
Location: Liverpool City Region & Lancashire, Hybrid working
(BioGrad Education at Wavertree Technology Park and other)
Reporting To: Catherine Witter, Managing Director

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Lecturer with expertise in Manufacturing (to include Medical Manufacturing), to join our dynamic academic team. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality education and fostering innovation within the field of manufacturing. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, curriculum development, and contributing to the advancement of academic excellence in the Liverpool City Region and Lancashire.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical sessions related to medicine manufacturing.
* Develop, review, and update course materials to ensure content reflects current industry standards and best practices.
* Mentor and support students, providing academic guidance and fostering a positive learning environment.
* Collaborate with industry partners and stakeholders to enhance curriculum relevance and employability outcomes.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching methods and assessment techniques.
* Participate in departmental meetings, staff development activities, and contribute to strategic initiatives.
* Conduct applied research or scholarly activities relevant to the field, where applicable.
Person Specification
* Demonstrable teaching experience in the manufacturing industry on the production line.
* Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
* An ability to travel to different sites to deliver training.
* A relevant science or teaching degree.
* Postgraduate qualification (master’s or PhD) in a related discipline.
* Membership in relevant professional bodies.
* Experience in curriculum development and assessment design.
* Research and publication experience in relevant fields.
* Proficiency with digital learning platforms and innovative teaching techniques.
