A Quality Engineer is required to join an award-winning manufacturing firm based in the Maidstone, Kent area. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer with expertise in FAI reporting and performing dimensional studies to support manufacturing and internal investigations.
Quality Engineer Position Overview
* Manage the Control of Nonconforming Products identified in our Value Streams in accordance with company procedures, ensuring effective and timely containment, correction, and prevention measures are deployed to address root causes while maintaining internal communication levels.
* Support the Value Streams in process improvements, problem-solving, and training initiatives.
* Coordinate the setup of IMS Sheets and FAIRs.
* Coordinate the completion of FAIRs in accordance with customer requirements.
* Aid in the management of the calibration of Measuring and Test Equipment in accordance with company procedures.
* Perform internal Quality, Environmental, and H&S Audits to establish compliance levels and identify improvement opportunities.
* Assist the Quality team in the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the Quality, Environmental, and H&S Systems.
* Support the Quality Team and Business with other duties aligned with this role.
* Conduct first off, in-process, and final inspections using a range of measuring techniques, e.g., CMM, verniers, gauges, etc.
Quality Engineer Position Requirements
* Knowledge of machining plastic and metal parts, hand lay-up, compression, transfer, and injection moulding is desirable.
* Knowledge of EN9100 and ISO14001 is desirable.
* A minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
* Auditor experience is desirable, but training can be provided to the right candidate.
Quality Engineer Position Remuneration
* Full-time - Permanent position
* Working hours: 08:00 am - 17:00 pm, Monday to Friday (16:00 pm finish on Friday)
