Based in Wigan, this is an exciting role which promises huge growth potential for an ambitious and hands on Financial Controller. You will have the opportunity to help drive change and influence cultural transformation across the European functions.
Operating across diverse locations within Europe, this role demands an individual with exceptional acumen in navigating complex financial while aligning with regional strategic imperatives.
The European Controller will establish and lead a robust regional accounting services organization headquartered in the UK which will serve as the cornerstone for financial stewardship across all European entities and as a senior leader shape the culture.
Collaborating closely with Corporate functional leads, the incumbent will oversee critical areas including accounting, tax, treasury, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and HR functions, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with organizational objectives.
The role will include;
1. Build and manage a regional accounting services organization into the UK office for all European entities
2. Manage accounting, tax, treasury, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, for the region in coordination with the Corporate functional leads.
3. Ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting processes are in place and executed effectively.
4. Manage cash position in collaboration with the VP of Treasury to optimize liquidity and financial stability.
5. Act as a finance business partner for all European activities, maintaining appropriate transfer pricing policies aligned with global tax planning strategies.
6. Partner cross-functionally to ensure appropriate pricing levels across customers and provide insights on cost challenges with global production locations where profitability is challenged.
Qualifications
7. You must a qualified Financial Controller with experience operating within an international role
8. Ideally you will come from a manufacturing / distribution background but this is not essential
9. Proficiency with technology, including experience with Oracle, Onestream, and MS Office
10. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
11. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across geographies and functions to achieve business objectives.
