We are now looking for a Facilities & Maintenance Operative to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role
As a Facilities & Maintenance Operative, you will oversee the security, functionality, and general upkeep of the Aga Khan Centre and its surrounding areas. Specifically, you will carry out scheduled maintenance and compliance checks, ensuring that all aspects of the facility adhere to the highest standards.
Working alongside contractors and internal teams, you will support the smooth operation of the building, while prioritising health and safety regulations. Additionally, you will:
* Inspect and maintain ladders and working-at-height equipment
* Carry out weekly fire alarm tests and assist with evacuation procedures
* Monitor and replenish stock levels of essential consumables and equipment
* Record and submit meter readings for the Aga Khan Centre and tenants
* Carry out minor electrical repairs, including changing plugs and fuses
* Undertake painting, decorating, flooring, ceiling, and wall repairs
About You
To be considered as a Facilities & Maintenance Operative, you will need:
* General maintenance or handyperson skills, including one or more of the following: plumbing, electrics, joinery/carpentry, painting, and decorating
* Working knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act
* Basic computer literacy
* The ability to plan and prioritise workload effectively
* Strong organisational skills with accuracy and attention to detail
* A proactive and customer-focused approach
* Reliability and punctuality
