The company are a leading FinTech Software Company, experience huge growth and with a reputation for being a market leader. They are looking for a Senior Events Manager to join their already well-established marketing function. With over 10,000 customers their SaaS solutions are industry recognised and award winning. This role is to take ownership for the events schedule of the business, both running and hosting their own as well presence at key industry events.
They are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented B2B Events Manager to join their team. You will play a pivotal role in planning, executing, and managing high-impact events that align with our business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering successful B2B events, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for creating meaningful brand experiences.
Ideally you will be in commutable distance to Reading with the ability to attend the office a few times per month. A background within events management for a software company is essential and ideally with a FinTech, Finance Software, Accounting SaaS, Tax, Payroll background. The role would ideally suit someone looking to take a step up in to a more senior position with a lot of room for further growth and progression.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Strategy and Planning:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive B2B events strategy aligned with business goals.
* Conduct market research to identify event opportunities, industry trends, and competitor activities.
* Work closely with internal stakeholders to define event objectives, target audiences, and KPIs.
Event Management:
* Plan and execute a variety of events, including trade shows, conferences, webinars, networking sessions, and client appreciation events.
* Manage event timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
* Coordinate with vendors, venues, and other external partners to secure services and negotiate contracts.
Audience Engagement:
* Design engaging event experiences that resonate with a B2B audience.
* Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote events, leveraging channels such as email, social media, and paid advertising.
* Ensure seamless on-site or virtual attendee experiences, including registration, navigation, and post-event follow-ups.
Collaboration and Communication:
* Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to align event content and messaging with business objectives.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for all event-related communications.
Performance Measurement:
* Track, analyse, and report on event performance using metrics such as attendance, engagement, ROI, and customer feedback.
* Use insights to continuously improve future events
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum of 2/3 years in B2B event management, marketing, or a related field.
* Proven track record of planning and executing successful B2B events.
* Experience with virtual and hybrid event platforms.
* Knowledge of the B2B software industry. Ideally with an Accountancy / FinTech solution
* Certification in event planning or project management is a plus.
* Exceptional project management and organisational skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in event management tools, CRM systems, and marketing platforms.
* Ability to manage budgets and negotiate contracts effectively
* Creative thinker with a customer-first mindset.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
