A prestigious property consultancy firm is seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Partner to join their growing team in Edinburgh. This role focuses on delivering high-quality services to national bodies and corporate investors, with a particular emphasis on major infrastructure projects, land acquisition, valuations, and business development. As a senior team member, you will drive growth initiatives, lead projects, and manage surveyors, ensuring the highest standards of professionalism and client service are upheld.
Key Responsibilities:
* Infrastructure Project Delivery: Assist in the delivery of major infrastructure projects for national bodies and corporate investors, ensuring client objectives are met.
* Valuation Reports: Deliver valuation reports in accordance with client instructions and RICS Valuation Standards, providing expert guidance and analysis.
* Business Development: Develop new business and relationship opportunities in the local area, driving forward growth initiatives and expanding the firm's presence.
* Professional Negotiations: Lead option and lease negotiations, valuations, and other professional negotiations to support client projects.
* Feasibility & Development Appraisals: Conduct feasibility and development appraisals, ensuring high-quality standards in all deliverables.
* Disturbance Claims & Access Consents: Negotiate disturbance claims following works and secure consents for access across third-party land to facilitate project activities.
* Team Leadership & Management: Assist in the management of activities within the local area and guide junior surveyors through mentoring and professional development.
* Lease & Asset Management: Negotiate lease events and manage asset acquisitions and disposals, optimizing opportunities and mitigating risks.
* Policy Implementation & Compliance: Implement new policies and procedures to enhance productivity and efficiency while ensuring legal compliance on all work carried out.
* Due Diligence & Project Management: Lead on acquisition opportunities, including due diligence, negotiation of transfer agreements, and project management of capital works.
* Matrix Team Collaboration: Work effectively within both client and internal teams, managing relationships and workflows between the client’s office and the consultancy.
Qualifications & Skills:
* RICS Qualified & Registered Valuer: The ideal candidate will be RICS qualified with significant post-qualification experience in general practice or infrastructure surveying.
* Business Development Focus: A commercial mindset with a business development-oriented approach is essential, along with a passion for delivering excellent client service.
* Legislation Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of relevant legislation, with robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Compulsory Purchase Experience: Experience in compulsory purchase is desirable, though not essential, as comprehensive training is available.
* Rural Experience: Exposure to rural surveying is advantageous, as aspects of the role may include commercial and residential assets within rural portfolios.
* Team Leadership: Proven ability to manage, mentor, and coach junior team members, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
* Adaptability: Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
