Our client is a Luxury Women’s RTW brand with a global following. They are looking for an additional Product Developer on a 6-month Fixed term contract to support the team.
Please note this is an urgent role, and I am looking for candidates who are available to start a new role immediately.
This role will be managing the knitwear women’s category, so you must have previous experience of managing the development and technical process of luxury knit product.
Working closely with Design, you will take control and drive the sampling, development and fitting process ensuring the creative vision is realised through the range each season.
Responsibilities include:
* Working closely with Design, you will be responsible for driving the development critical path ensuring deadlines are achieved, pre-empting any issues to ensure on time delivery.
* Build strong working relationships with all internal teams and external vendors, with an understanding of vendor capability
* Be able to provide technical knowledge and suitability for each product, providing feedback on technical construction and finishes driving the tech packs and ensuring they are complete and informative with all styling details. Amending and checking all details following each fitting.
* Management of the handover to production and being available for any queries through production to ensure the correct product is achieved.
* Managing the Costings and negotiations process through sampling and development, always ensuring the desired margin is achieved.
* Research and development of new materials and techniques as required for the range
Our client is looking for someone who:
* Proven experience within a similar role in a Womens Luxury Brand
* Experience and knowledge of Knit yarns and technicalities are essential
* Excellent hands on technical and construction knowledge
* Be a self-starter and motivated alongside excellent problem-solving skills and a high level of communication with the factories and in-house team with the ability to build successful relationships.
* A quick learner and able to work within a dynamic team, adapting to the daily needs of the team
* Excellent negotiation skills with the factories and vendors, with a network of vendors and experience of working with factories across Europe.
* Excellent organisational skills and a strong team member who can drive this role with a strong work ethic.
* Strong all-round IT skills, including working with Zedonk
