The school
This school is a special place, where creativity, challenge and enjoyment are at the very core of everything we do. We have a strong culture of learning throughout the school, which is promoted through our school LEARNER attributes. These attributes are woven throughout the school from the outset in Nursery, through play, all the way through the year groups to Year 6, through their academic learning, and into our staff team and wider community.
They very much promote the power of ‘yet’, encouraging their learners, and wider community, to have a growth mind-set in all that they do. This is very tangible in all of our classes, where our staff actively model these behaviours, with learners taking control of their own learning in a pro-active manner, challenging themselves and learning from their mistakes.
The school has been well recognised, by Ofsted (October 2022) and within Hertfordshire, for the outstanding provision that we provide for our learners’ personal development, behaviour and attitudes. Their quality of education and inclusive practices have also been validated as a real strength, and they are regularly asked to share their good practice with other schools across the county.
They provide lots of curricular and extra-curricular enrichment opportunities across the school. Whether it be visiting the local shops in EYFS, performing at the Royal Albert Hall or competing in a benchball tournament, our learners are provided with a wide range of experiences that richly supplement our curriculum offer.
They build strong relationships with all of their learners and their families, where trust, understanding and support form the basis of a shared responsibility to prepare our school learners to be responsible and successful citizens in an ever-changing society.
The Role
*
We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate who wants to work as part of our highly motivated team, providing PPA cover for class teachers. Included within the role's paid hours each week is some PPA time for the HLTA to prepare their own lessons etc. There would also be the possibility of further hours, when necessary, to cover staff absence.
*
We would welcome applications from candidates with experience of (or an interest in) working with any age range in Early Years or Primary. We are happy to consider candidates with or without an HLTA qualification, and we would be happy to support the right candidate in obtaining this qualification while working at this school, if they would like to.
*
This is an exciting time at this School! We are looking for someone who can contribute to moving our provision ‘to the next level’.
