We are an award-winning lifestyle magazine for international students. Our content illuminates and entertains our readers and gives them an authentic insight into what it is really like to live and study in the UK. The role. We are looking for an ambitious and energetic graduate, who wants to build a career in the media industry, to join the company on a six-month training contract, under the Government’s Kickstarter Scheme, with an opportunity to be hired full time after the end of the training. What will the role involve? Create high-quality weekly content and interact with our followers on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn Manage the social media editorial calendar Manage the social media advertising budget Manage our social media influencers Produce monthly reports and give presentations to senior management Attend events as an ambassador for Great British Mag Attributes Someone who enjoy using social media An ‘ideas person’ who can get into the heads of our audience Fastidious about producing high-quality work and someone who pays close attention to detail A team player that wants to contribute to building the GB Mag brand Works well under pressure and can cope with daily deadlines Is a clear and confident communicator in person, during meetings via email and over the telephone Is good at time management and hitting deadlines Is not camera shy Skills required Training will be provided in these areas, but some knowledge would accelerate your progress Working knowledge of WordPress, Mailchimp, Hootsuite, Canva, Google Docs, Dropbox, Google Analytics, Facebook, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. Training to be provided Your training will be made up of the following: On the job learning with supervision from a member of the team Weekly one-to-one training session with a senior team member Monthly review meetings Practical training will be given on: How to use Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Youtube for business How to use Canva, Mailchimp, Dropbox, Google Sheets and Google Docs How to produce written content for social media Weekly hours & pay You will work 25 hours per week, Mon-Thur from 10am to 4pm and be paid the minimum wage for your age.
