Role Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated clinical research nurse to join our research team, working within our Musculoskeletal Research Portfolio at the Royal Devon and Exeter University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
As the Band 6 research nurse based in the trust, you will work alongside the existing team leading and coordinating the delivery of the clinical trial portfolio. Working clinically with the team you will promote high standards of both patient care and research practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated nurse, with management and research experience. You must have effective organisation, communication and time management skills. You should demonstrate the ability to manage your own workload and to work as part of a team.

Main duties of the job
The post-holder will be responsible for assessing and managing the research pathway for patients participating in clinical trials. This will involve identifying suitable study participants, undertaking study assessments and procedures and ensuring patient safety by reviewing and recording adverse events. You will work collaboratively with the clinical trials research team and the wider multi-disciplinary team in the management of caseloads of clinical trial patients.
You should have excellent communication skills, together with the ability to organise and motivate others as well demonstrating significant initiative. You should be able to work autonomously, demonstrate enthusiasm and innovation when faced with challenges and be able to utilise excellent project management and time management skills in conducting the research.
The post holder may be expected to work flexibly across other clinical specialties within the Trust. There may occasionally be a requirement to work out of hours or at weekends.
Working Pattern: 22.5 hours between Monday and Friday
