Job summary We are recruiting a Trust ST3 in General Medicine who wishes to join TeamIOWNHS. The post holder will be based at St Mary's Hospital, Newport, Isle of Wight. The post holder will be expected to work at ST3 level in both medical speciality and General (Internal) Medicine. The post would suitable for those with GIM experience at this grade or those building experience relevant to a future career in a medical speciality or GIM. Experience could be offered in: Cardiology Respiratory medicine Diabetes and endocrine Gastroenterology Geriatrics Acute internal medicine Main duties of the job The successful candidate will support consultant led patient care on the inpatient wards and to supervise doctors in training assigned to the firm. They will also provide support the medical admissions unit in the assessment of patients referred to it and to outpatients as required. They wil lead the out of hours hospital at night team providing general medicine review to patients referred from the ED or their general practitioner to the on take service; to provide medical out of hours review to inpatients across the trust.
