Our client, a well-respected secondary school in Hemel Hempstead, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Community Teacher to join their team. This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs, helping them develop essential life skills and achieve their full potential.
The Role:
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEND.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting independence and confidence.
* Work closely with SENCOs, support staff, and external agencies to provide personalised support.
* Implement EHCP targets and differentiated learning strategies to meet individual student needs.
* Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching approaches as required.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) with experience in SEN education.
* Has a strong understanding of SEND strategies, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs.
* Demonstrates excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
* Is committed to fostering a nurturing and supportive learning environment.
* Has experience working within a community-focused or alternative provision setting (desirable).
