Main duties of the job
Our Wellbeing in Mind team has 3 core functions:
1. Support the development of a whole-school or college approach to wellbeing, including supporting sites to develop and implement mental health and wellbeing policies, development of resources, supporting campaigns, and delivering training, assemblies, and PHSE curriculum.
2. Provide timely advice and consultation to education staff to support teaching staff in building their skills and confidence in addressing the wellbeing needs of their students/pupils.
3. Undertake direct assessments and interventions for young people within education, offering a low-intensity service model primarily using cognitive-behavioral therapy.
Each function accounts for a third of the team's workload.
The Clinical Specialist must demonstrate the ability to manage their time, prioritizing and managing competing demands. The ability to manage relationships and work collaboratively with a wide range of partners and stakeholders is vital, as the post holder will act as a resource and provide specialist mental health advice, training, guidance, and consultation to staff in educational settings.
