This includes providing support for servers, middleware, and databases. You will work with other IS groups to industrialise proven technology which includes, building servers, installing applications or provisioning in the cloud. Job Requirements What will I be doing? - Initially focussed on supporting the implementation of a new PLM system used by global engineering teams, ensuring system availability and tackling any user issues - Working with IS teams to facilitate new and ongoing projects - Longer term opportunity to get involved with Cloud technology as part of broader migration project Technical focus - - Build Server Infrastructure: - Creating servers including build of OS and services for Windows - Configuring, maintaining and monitoring Windows servers - Ensuring compliance to all security regulations or standards during builds - Rack physical equipment - Install SQL Server - Creation and maintenance of databases - Support/Administrative: - Act as L2 and in some cases L3 support for IS infrastructure/Systems/Platforms - Diagnosing, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and providing resolution to complex problems, recommending improvements to avoid re-occurrence of the same problem. What do I need to succeed in the role? Required: - Able to hit the ground running with SQL Server and Windows Server Operating Systems - Experience with Monitoring tool solutions - Documentation skills related to IS projects - Flexibility, ability to change focus and adopt to changing corporate priorities. Preferred: - ITIL Foundations Certification or similar. - Skill in Microsoft Office product suite, including PowerPoint, Excel & Word. - Knowledge of aerospace business. - Basic understanding of VMWare, NetApp and Citrix - Basic understanding in various IT/IS disciplines, technologies, and platforms (Infrastructure, databases and mobility).
