Electrical Supervisor Location: Multiple sites across Islington Full UK Manual Driving Licence Required About the Role We are looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee Fire Safety projects across multiple sites in Islington. You will be responsible for ensuring all electrical works, including fire/smoke detection and emergency lighting installations, are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations. This role does not require NICEIC Qualified Supervisor status. However, candidates must have a strong electrical background, with at least an 18th Edition qualification and a solid understanding of electrical inspection and testing. A City & Guilds 2391 or 2395 qualification in inspection and testing would be advantageous. Key Responsibilities Electrical Supervision & Compliance Oversee electrical works, ensuring they meet project specifications and health & safety standards. Conduct regular site inspections, identifying and resolving issues as needed. Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, risk assessments, control measures, and PPE requirements. Carry out site safety inspections and report any non-compliance or required corrective actions. Team & Contractor Management Supervise and coordinate electricians and subcontractors, ensuring productivity and quality. Monitor performance, conduct 6-monthly appraisals, and address any performance issues. Organise and chair formal meetings as required to maintain compliance with company policies. Project Administration & Reporting Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring timely updates to management. Assist in quality assessments upon project completion, reviewing electrical installations, subcontractor performance, financials, and health & safety compliance. Support contract managers by reporting any variances in standards or scheduling. Skills & Experience ✅ Essential: 18th Edition qualification. Experience in electrical supervision, ideally in fire safety projects (e.g., fire/smoke detection, emergency lighting). Knowledge of electrical inspection and testing. Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and compliance. Experience managing electricians and trade teams. Ability to work independently while providing clear updates to management. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. CSCS card holder. ✅ Desirable: City & Guilds 2391 or 2395 qualification in electrical inspection and testing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
