Site Manager – Re-Cladding Projects Our client, a highly reputable contractor specializing in re-cladding projects, is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee site operations and ensure the successful delivery of projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to take charge of on-site activities, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. For this role, you must have experience working as a Site Manager within a principal contractor setting, specifically delivering re-cladding/re-mediation projects. Key Responsibilities Site Management & Execution Oversee daily site operations, ensuring work is completed according to project schedules. Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and direct labor to maintain smooth site activity. Monitor progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective measures to keep projects on track. Health, Safety & Compliance Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations on-site. Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and enforce safe working practices. Prepare and implement Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) and maintain site safety records. Quality Control & Technical Coordination Ensure all work meets required specifications and quality standards. Work closely with design teams to resolve technical issues and implement solutions. Conduct regular inspections and snagging to ensure a high level of workmanship. Stakeholder & Client Management Act as the main point of contact on-site for clients, project managers, and consultants. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to coordinate deliveries and site logistics. Attend progress meetings and provide updates on site activities and challenges. Resource & Cost Management Manage site resources efficiently, ensuring labor, materials, and equipment are utilized effectively. Track site costs and support project managers in maintaining budget control. Assist with procurement and ordering materials as needed. Candidate Requirements Site management experience: Proven track record in delivering re-cladding or re-mediation projects within a principal contractor environment. Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of cladding systems, materials, and installation methods. Health & safety expertise: In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and site safety procedures. Leadership skills: Ability to manage and motivate site teams effectively. Problem-solving ability: Proactive approach to tackling site challenges and driving solutions. Communication skills: Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities. Relevant qualifications: SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold Card), First Aid, and an NVQ Level 6 or similar in construction management (preferred).
