I am looking for an experienced Chef to work in a residential home that offers nursing, dementia and residential care. The service is home to 30 older people.
For this post you will:
* Be responsible for the planning and provision of daily nutritious meals for residents
* Ensure the food your purchase is fresh and within budget
* Ensure all health and safety and environmental standards are achieved and maintained
* Be responsible for inspiring and motivating your team
The successful Chef needs to have:
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Food Preparation/Catering (or equivalent)
* Level 2 Food Hygiene, be willing to work towards Intermediate Food Hygiene qualifications
* Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting
* Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques
* A knowledge of nutrition and the ability to develop menus that meet dietary requirements
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently under pressure
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures
* The ability to train and supervise kitchen staff
* A willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
