The Team:
Launceston General Hospital Neonatal services have a fixed term vacancy due to maternity leave. Ideally, we would be seeking a Registered Nurse with some neonatal experience in special care or neonatal intensive care but would welcome any registered nurse wanting to experience this area of nursing. We have an excellent supportive workplace, and everyone contributes and assists all staff.
The Role:
* Involve patients/clients and their families/significant others in the planning and implementation of care
* Interact effectively with patients’/clients’ families and other health team members to facilitate the provision of optimum patient/client care.
* Develop, implement and evaluate teaching plans for patients/clients that meet their learning needs and facilitate informed decision making
Details of appointment:
Fixed term, part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working up to 64 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed date until 14 February 2026.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary: $78,179 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455- $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type.

Eligibility:
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
* Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration
