SEN Support Worker Responsibilities: Support students with a range of additional needs, including social, emotional, and behavioural challenges. Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies. Provide one-to-one or small group support to help students engage with learning activities. Collaborate with teachers and specialists to deliver tailored interventions. Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all learners. Monitor and report on student progress and well-being to the teaching staff. Encourage students to build confidence and develop independence. Requirements we are looking for: Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs or as a SEN Support Worker is highly desirable. Knowledge about special educational needs; including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and different learning disabilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude towards challenges. A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare. Possess an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
