Royal Holloway, University of London, is a vibrant and ambitious institution, driven by a vision to be a University of social purpose. Our commitment to academic excellence and an outstanding student experience is underpinned by our dedication to fostering a values-driven, professional and compliance-oriented culture within our Professional Services directorates and departments.
We are seeking an experienced organisational development professional to join our forward-thinking team within the Human Resources directorate. In this role you will be lead on the design and implementation of RH Professional – a new framework which will aim to answer the question "what does it mean to be a member of professional services at Royal Holloway?" through co-creating a set of standards and expectations built on our Values, and providing real opportunities for teams to work together to address issues and create added value for the University. RH Professional will provide support for individuals to excel in their role, improving their knowledge and skills and enhancing their professional development, and it will support those who want to advance their career.
We are looking for a candidate with excellent experience of achieving cultural change within a complex organisation through organisational development interventions. You will need a blend of leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on expertise to deliver at pace, as well as exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders. You will have proven ability to lead a cross-functional programme with measurable outcomes, excellent project management and facilitation skills, and exceptional attention to detail. You must be able to demonstrate commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) in your professional practice.
This is a unique opportunity to influence cultural transformation within our institution. You will have the chance to shape your role and further develop your expertise, working alongside dedicated and supportive colleagues who are committed to making a difference. We are proud of our commitment to live our values of being daring, open, innovative and respectful.
This is a full time, permanent contract based in Egham, Surrey, where the University is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.
We operate a Hybrid Working Scheme with staff splitting their time between remote working and working on campus. As this role is about engaging with people throughout the University you are likely to be on campus more than working from home. As an institution we recognise the importance of helping colleagues achieve a work-life blend that works for them.
Royal Holloway also has an on-campus nursery welcoming children from 3 months to five years, a workplace nursery salary sacrifice scheme and enhanced family leave schemes. The University offers a range of professional and career development support. Further rewards and benefits include generous annual leave entitlement, schemes such as Cycle to Work, Season Ticket Loans, free parking and help with the cost of eyesight testing.
