Our Economic Crime team have a key new role as we look to further understand and then enhance the outcome of our members and key stakeholders' interactions with our Economic Crime team and the broader Society. This is a 12 month opportunity. The Governance and Control Manager role will look at all aspects of Fraud, Anti-Money Laundering, and Bribery & Corruption through the application of a strong customer approach underpinned by the requirement to deliver fair outcomes and meet all of our regulatory requirements, including Payment Services Regulations, Proceeds of Crime Act, Money Laundering Regulations, Bribery Act and Immigration Act. Through leading the governance assessment and testing within the area, this role will be key in influencing the ongoing enhancements to our economic crime journeys. This role will be responsible for both the ongoing development of the program, which is part of the Society’s Enterprise Risk Management and Operational Risk Management Frameworks, and being the face of Economic Crime to stakeholders outside of the area. It will have responsibility for important stakeholder management at all levels across the Society, including prov i d ing Secretariat duties for a range of Economic Crime Risk committees and Working Groups. It will also provide ongoing support across the full range of activities carried out in the Economic Crime Risk & Control team. These include Education & Awareness, Management Information in addition to a range of Risk & Control activities. As this is a new role a passion to influence the creation and ongoing continuous improvement of the governance and risk testing, and wider support activities will be vital.
