Business Developer / Sales Development Representative
This is an exciting new national role within the corporate sector that demands an energetic, hands-on approach combined with solid strategic thinking to support our ambitious business growth plans. This role focuses on new business, working to agreed sales targets, generating leads, discussing and negotiating with prospects, and preparing and presenting sales proposals. The ability to source, present, and close large national contracts within target markets is essential, working with the support of our marketing and tenders’ team to deliver growth in the corporate sector.
Key Accountabilities
1. Business to business canvassing and profiling; consistently presenting and representing our client in a professional capacity, selling unique features and benefits of our services.
2. Closing deals for services including general waste, recycling, equipment, shredding, and hazardous waste.
3. Solution-based selling; creating the desire/need and selling long-term, profitable contracts.
4. Collaborating with other departments to build costing models and P&Ls.
5. Preparing and presenting sales proposals.
6. Completing site risk assessments and site audits.
7. Pre-qualifying opportunities to ensure they meet business fit and strategic goals, including credit checks.
8. Collating accurate prospect information to ensure your pipeline and CRM is up to date.
9. Booking appointments with target organizations' key management personnel to present the company's proposition highlights, features, advantages, and benefits.
10. Assisting subcontract teams with identifying new suppliers to support your sales.
11. Arranging mobilization meetings to ensure smooth rollout of new contracts and transition to account management.
12. Participating in networking events and sales conferences to showcase our client’s services to potential prospects.
13. Completing weekly activity reports.
14. Attending and participating in weekly/monthly sales meetings.
15. Managing diary and priority planning.
16. Assisting Administration and Service Team with the implementation of new services.

5. Ensuring smooth mobilization of contracts.
Experience and Skills
5+ years sales experience B2B with a proven track record of corporate sales. Ability to review customer requirements and provide alternative solutions.
